Novak Djokovic Reigns In Australia
Novak Djokovic has secured his 92nd ATP title at the Adelaide ATP 250 event in Australia. He played an incredible nail biting 3-set match against the 22 year old American Sebastian Korda 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, lasting 3 hours and 9 minutes.
They put on an absolute show for the finals playing tie-breaks in the first 2 sets. Ultimately, the former world no. 1 was able to come back from the first set loss. Sebastian Korda had a chance at the Championship point in the 2nd set but was unable to convert with Novak Djokovic on the other end of the court.
Unreal performance from the American as he was able to break Novak in the first set at 4-4 and put himself up 5-4 against the Serbian. He was firing crazy forehand winners against one of the best defenders in the history of the sport, and was also able to make Djokovic incredibly frustrated in the second set. He was definitely playing at the level of a top-10 player, but ultimately still fell a little short to beat Novak.
This match marks Novak Djokovic's 34th consecutive wins in Australia since 2018. It was a much better start of the season this year as compared to last year’s. It seems that Djokovic is fit and ready for the Australian Open.
