Novak Djokovic Crushes Home Hope For Italy As He Defeats Jannik Sinner At The Nitto ATP Finals In Turin
Novak Djokovic successfully beat Jannik Sinner and scored revenge after losing in their epic 3-sets group match on Tuesday. This time, Djokovic beat Sinner in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 taking an hour and 43 minutes to claim his record-breaking 7th title win at the ATP Finals. He now leads Sinner 4-1 in the Lexus Head2Head meeting.
The match was straightforward. Djokovic put on his best performance at the finals while Sinner was unable to match the level the Serbian was playing at. Nevertheless, Sinner had performed incredibly at the event, losing only 1 of 5 matches he had played at the last ATP event of the year. 2023 is no doubt the best season for the Italian as he reached a career-high ranking of No. 4, a W-L record of 61-15, and claimed 4 titles including his maiden Masters 1000 title at the Canadian Open.
Novak Djokovic, despite playing fewer events this year, leads the tour with the most titles won this year and remains the world No. 1 going into the 2024 season while breaking and extending one record after another. Djokovic and Sinner are both looking to lead their countries to win the Davis Cup Finals in the coming week, so we can expect a rematch soon!
