Felix Auger-Aliassime Looking To Claim Back-To-Back Singles Title At The European Open

The young Canadian claimed his 2nd Tour level singles title just last week at the Florence Open, bringing him to a career high ranking of no.8. Felix will advance to his second consecutive ATP Tour finals at Antwerp after defeating Richard Gasquet in 2 sets 7-6(2), 7-6(3).

The semi finals match between Felix Auger-Aliassime and Richard Gasquet was not an easy match for either of the players, it was fast-paced and high level. Ultimately, after two close sets, Felix managed to come out top in the tie-breaks of both sets.

Felix will now seek to clinch his 3rd tour level title at the finals of the European Open in Antwerp. He will be playing against American Sebastian Korda who is looking to claim his 2nd tour level title. The same aged players have played each other twice throughout their careers and they are currently tied 1-1 on the Head2Head. Felix is definitely the favourite to win the title, as he is currently ranked No.10 and Sebastian is ranked No.36.

If Felix Auger-Aliassime wins the finals against Sebastian Korda, he will extend his winning streak to 8 matches and solidify his seventh place position on the ATP Pepperstone Live Race to Turin and will be looking positively to make his Nitto ATP Finals debut.
