World no. 9 Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime upsets the world’s top seed Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz at the Swiss indoors open on Saturday 29th October. Felix in top form, produced a stunning performance on court and defeated Carlos in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in just 82 minutes at the semifinals of the Basel Open.

On a 12-match winning streak the 22 year old Canadian will now face 19 year old Danish Holger Rune at the finals of the Basel Open on Sunday. Holger Rune played an extremely tight match against Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut to win in 2 tie-break sets 7-6(1), 7-6(6) before securing his spot in the finals.

Felix is looking to possibly claim his third consecutive title since his win at Firenze Open and the European Open last month. On the other hand, Holger is also looking to win his second consecutive title since his win at the Stockholm open last week.

The two young players will be meeting for the first time at the finals of the Basel Open. Odds are close in the upcoming finals for the 2 players, Felix has only dropped 1 set so far in the tournament while Holger has yet to drop any. Both players have been playing impressively and are in top form in their recent matches so it is tough to tell who is going to win.

So good luck to both players and I believe they would definitely bring forth a spectacular match on Sunday!
