Carlos Alcaraz Is Back In Action!
Carlos Alcaraz is back on the court at the Argentina Open after 4 months of recovery from injuries since retiring from the quarterfinal match against Holger Rune at the Paris Masters event last November.
Unfortunately, Alcaraz had to miss the Australian Open where he would have been seeded No.1, ultimately dropping one spot on the ATP Pepperstone Ranking after Novak Djokovic claimed his 10th victory at the Slam.
Alcaraz made his injury comeback at the Argentina Open and is set to play his first final of the season against the no.2 seed British Cam Norrie. Alcaraz advanced to the finals on Saturday after putting fellow Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles away in straight sets 6-2,6-2 taking just 77 minutes.
Carlos Alcaraz will be feeling slightly fresher than Cam Norrie at the finals having only dropped one set in the earlier rounds while Norrie dropped two. Alcaraz leads their H2H 3-1, but Norrie won their most recent meeting at Cincinnati last year.
The top seeds are both looking positively to claim their first title of the year. Carlos Alcaraz is the favourite to win this ATP 250 event on clay but can Cam Norrie cause an upset in Buenos Aires tonight?
